Visa & Invitation
Attendees from most countries will be required to obtain a visa to enter the People's Republic of China.
How to apply for a visa

Through a travel agency.

Directly at the nearest Chinese embassy.

The local diplomatic mission in your country may outsource the handling of applications to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. Please follow the requirements and procedures for Chinese visa application on the Embassy's website to prepare your documents.

In general, the conference attendees can apply for F-Visa and you need an invitation letter issued by a relevant entity or individual in China.
How to get an invitation letter
To assist you in obtaining a Chinese visa, we'd like to ask you for the following information:

Passport Number

The dates you expect to arrive and depart China

Itinerary to China: daily itinerary, the round-trip plane ticket confirmation and proof of hotel reservations.

If you have filled in the answers of #1 to #8 in the OSM event registration, you don’t have to provide them again, but relevant documents for #9 and #10 are still required.
Tips
By default, the invitation letter is provided as a digital file in PDF format, and it will be sent back to you as soon as possible.
It is recommended to apply for a Chinese visa at least one month in advance.
